A letter from National WMU. National WMU plans to make some changes this fall at the request of our customers. These upcoming changes were unveiled at our recent January Board Meeting. We are often asked, “Why can’t you ship materials in a box to our church once a quarter like Lifeway does? We don’t like WMU materials arriving at various times.” We can do that, but at least two changes have to happen. First, our materials need to be on the same production schedule. Most of our materials are produced quarterly. Missions Mosaic is printed monthly. Overcoming this obstacle means Missions Mosaic must become a quarterly resource, which will happen beginning September 2025. The second change is in relation to how we allow magazines purchased by churches to be shipped to individual homes. Lifeway discontinued this practice decades ago, and skyrocketing postage costs likewise make this an easy stewardship decision for WMU. This will allow WMU to send churches all WMU material for every age level together in one box once a quarter. While 90 percent of our customers are churches, 10 percent are individuals. I love retrieving Missions Mosaic from my mailbox at home. Like me, you have the option to purchase Missions Mosaic and have it delivered to your home with a postage fee. I hope you, our cherished missions advocates, will see these changes as opportunities. For example, if you currently have Missions Mosaic delivered to homebound church members, this will give you opportunities to connect with them face-to-face as you deliver their magazines from the church shipments four times a year. To be candid, I have fought against this change for years, but here’s what tipped the scales in favor for me: I don’t want our customers to continue to be frustrated by our materials arriving at different times or being lost. We send so many replacements. I want to be the very best steward of every dime entrusted to my care. Once I only considered the obstacles. Now I am truly excited about the opportunities these changes will bring as we seek to provide the very best resources using the very best solutions. I encourage you to visit wmu.com/update to learn more about these exciting changes. -Sandy Wisdom Martin, executive director, national WMU

You Are More Than a Facilitator
As a WMU missions group leader, your role reaches far beyond simply guiding participants through a lesson. You are entrusted with shaping hearts and minds for the mission of God. While curriculum provides structure and direction, it is only a tool—never the destination. The true goal is discipleship: nurturing lives that reflect Christ and actively engage in His mission. Each gathering you lead carries profound purpose. It is an opportunity to help individuals develop a biblical worldview, one that influences how they interpret life, make decisions, and relate to others. It is also a chance to cultivate a deep and lasting heart for missions, fostering compassion and awareness for God’s work both locally and globally. Most importantly, every meeting should inspire action—encouraging participants not just to learn, but to live out their faith in tangible ways. I saw this come to life with one of the girls in my missions class. After learning how to share the gospel, she took a simple tract with her to the playground. There, in her everyday environment, she found the courage to practice what she had learned, sharing the message of Jesus with her friends. That moment was not about completing a lesson—it was about equipping and and discipling someone into a life of living on mission. It can be easy to measure success by whether the lesson was completed. However, the more meaningful measure lies in transformation. Did it change how they see and live on mission? Remember, you are not just a facilitator—you are a disciple-maker and a catalyst for mission-minded living.
