Request a Speaker:
Field Service Request
Kentucky WMU staff members are available to be a part of your local church and associational meetings virtually or in person. They may also be able to assist you in a variety of ways. A broad term for the speaking and training they do is field service. Consulting and strategizing with WMU directors, missions group leaders, or associational teams is also an element of this service.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can we invite?
You may issue an invitation to any missions strategist, executive director - treasurer, or the president.
If you’re uncertain about which staff member might be the best choice, contact Angie Brown for suggestions [email protected]. The “Field Servicing Request” form allows you to list, in priority order, individuals you would like to invite.
What kinds of things can staff do?
Staff members are able to lead leadership, ministry, and organization-related conferences; Bible studies; theme interpretations; and give keynote messages. Missions Strategists are available to consult with you or your team in the areas of education, leadership development, mobilization, and organizations. Please note, we do have male staff available if you would prefer a more traditional, biblical expository message.
When is an invitation appropriate?
Whenever your WMU organization is conducting an event for leaders or members; or if your team would benefit from some strategic conversation with a staff member, the time is right. The request form gives you the opportunity to describe how you would involve the staff member, the size of the meeting, location, etc.
The longer lead time you allow when inviting staff, the better. For example, the schedules of Kentucky WMU’s president and executive director fill up quickly even a year in advance.
How much will a field service visit cost?
Kentucky WMU is able to cover travel expenses because of your gifts to the Cooperative Program. Naturally, any on-site expense which the host WMU can cover is welcomed, particularly in these days of cost-consciousness and limited resources. Honoraria are not expected.
How often can we invite a Kentucky WMU staff member to our association or church?
Frequency of travel is usually dictated by budget and the schedule of the person invited. We suggest inviting a specific person no more than once a year.
How do I request staff?
Please use the following process for requesting staff for the coming year.
