Church Chaperone Requirements

Church leaders must:

  • · Be 21 years of age or older
  • · Pass a background check conducted by the sponsoring church
  • · Be a member of the sponsoring church
  • · Be a non-smoker
  • · Set a good example for kids in speech, conduct, and dress

Church chaperones are expected to supervise their church kids. This includes all daily activities as well as staying with their children through the night for overnight events. Church leaders must provide on-site transportation for their children. One male chaperone is needed for every 1-5 boys and one female chaperone is needed for every 1-5 girls.

Who can attend?

Girls who are in grades 1-6 and their church leaders/ moms may attend. 

Leaders must be 21 years of age or older and a member of the sending church. 

Will food be provided?

Lunch and snacks will be provided

What if my church does not have a GA group? What if my daughter is not involved in GAs?

Don't worry! Churches do not need to have GAs (Girls in Action) to attend GA JAM no do girls need to be a member of a GA group to participate!

I'm bringing a group of girls? How do I register a group?

To register:

  1. Click “Register Now”.
  2. Submit number of adults and number of girls.
  3. Complete Billing and Payment information.
  4. Assign a “Ticket” to each participant by typing her name and email address (or parent/guardian's email address if participant is a child). Participants will receive health/release questions to complete. These questions are submitted to the KentuckyWMU office. Participants must complete questions before arriving at GA JAM.
  5. Complete the Acknowledgement and Assurance form and email to [email protected].

Is there an offering? What is it?

This year’s offering are hygiene bags a Family Resource Center. If your group would like to participate, hygiene bags include: bar of soap, washcloth, toothpaste, toothbrush, toothbrush holder, deodorant. Please place the items in a resealable bag.
