Girls in Action®
Girls in Action (GA) is a missions discipleship group for girls in grades 1–6. The GA Motto is “Go Forward!” and they do just that. They grow closer to God as they discover their part in His plan and practice what they learn through hands-on missions opportunities. GA leads girls to a lifelong commitment to Christ, His mission, and His church.
How to Start a Girls In Action Group:
- Begin with prayer: Make prayer a part of each step in starting and leading a Children in Action group.
- Download starter pack: Download a sample of the Missions Journey: Kids curriculum.
- Contact KentuckyWMU: Contact the KentuckyWMU Children's Missions Strategist to learn more about updates, resources, and leadership training for Children in Action leaders and volunteers. Attend leadership development events hosted by KentuckyWMU.
- Register WMU group: Select the link below to register your new WMU group with the state office.
- Select leaders: Based on the number of children expected, secure the number of leaders you will need.
- Order materials: Place your order for Girls in Action material by visiting the WMU store.
- Invite children: Let parents at your church know a Girls in Action group is starting. Share the promotional information across your church's communication channels.
