About the Theme:
Have you ever looked at the Great Commission and thought, " I don't feel ready." Perhaps you don't feel ready emotionally, spiritually, or even physically. You're not alone. The truth is, many of us feel ill equipped to teach the gospel to ourselves much less to the ends of the earth. That is why we are so excited for our 2022 Women's Retreat: Ready Yourself based on the command in 1 Peter 3:15. Come explore a time where you and your group can renew your minds, refresh your spirits and imaginations, and refocus on the gospel/ Great Commission.
Come learn how to stop being merely vessels of grace and instead become vehicles of gospel grace.
Let's get back to the root of our faith and ignite a movement for the missional lifestyles portrayed in scripture.

Bible Study Leader: Carrie Jones
Carrie Jones is passionate about women’s ministry, biblical literacy, and all things leadership. A former Illinois and Kentucky girl, currently, she lives in Indianapolis with her husband JT and daughter Rose Michelle with one on the way. She is a stay at home mom after teaching school for several years and works as the Work Done Well Coordinator for Women and Work, a ministry that hopes to inspire women through conversation and biblical content to honor God, image Him to the world through their work, and leverage their potential for His glory. She is also currently a writer for the Family Research Counsel’s two year Bible plan called Stand on the Word. She serves alongside her husband as members of a growing church plant and is finding new ways to encourage and connect with moms through Mums, a ministry for moms and other women's ministries. In her spare time, she and her husband love to travel, try new foods, and enjoy time together. |

aBOUT THE wORSHIP
Three women crossed paths last fall at First Baptist Church, Bowling Green, KY. After moving from Ohio in October, Lauren Parish is now serving as the Minister of Children. Carrie Redmon, a Bowling Green native, moved home from Nashville in 2020. She is a choir member and worship leader. After serving in the choir and leading worship for five years, Christina Dawson is currently residing in Houston, TX. A divinely orchestrated intersection brought the group together and they are very pleased to lead worship for WMU Women on Mission Fall Retreat this year! Ready yourself, these ladies are preparing to lead us in worship, so that we may find refreshment in the presence of The Lord, refocus our hearts, and allow Him to renew our minds through His Word.
