Mission Friends Projects
Treats for Community Helpers
Mission Friends and their families are invited to share the love of Jesus with people in their communities. Prepare treat bags of cookies, muffins, or candy and deliver to community helpers and business owners in your town. Let us know how it goes.
Sing to Seniors Day
Make plans to visit a local nursing home or homebound members of your church. Before you go, practice singing some songs your preschoolers may know and your seniors would enjoy. You may also want to make a craft to share.
Thank You Day
Your Mission Friends can deliver cards and cookies to your local Fire or Police departments to show your appreciation for helping people in crisis.
Give a Cup of Water in Jesus' Name
Invite your Mission Friends and their families to give away bottles of water at a community event. Events might include football practice, soccer practice, a 5K run, or harvest festival. Place scripture labels on the bottles.
Jesus Rocks!
This fall’s mission project for Mission Friends and their families is “Jesus Rocks!” Mission Friends paint rocks with symbols, like hearts and crosses, that communicate the gospel. Then Missions Friends and their families will then hide the rocks at a local park. Hopefully, these Jesus Rocks will be a blessing to those who discover them!
Post all of your projects on the KYWMU facebook page or email Stacy Nall, preschool/children's consultant, at stacy.nall@kybaptist.org. Thanks!
