About Trip Location

McCreary County, located in the heart of the Daniel Boone National Forest, is known for its scenic beauty with forests, waterfalls, and natural arches. Through many different issues in the county’s history, an impoverished lifestyle has become a part of life for many. Over fifty-one percent of residents live on government assistance; most social economic statistics rank McCreary County as the poorest county in the country.

About our Local Missions Partners

KY-MSC Missionaries Grant & Gina Hasty started Crossroads Community Baptist Church on September 5, 2010, and continues to strive to show the compassion of Christ in one of the poorest counties in America. They meet our community where they are both spiritually and physically. The Lord’s Cafe addresses the physical needs of food through a restaurant ministry and distributions. The Light Community is being developed to address housing and mentor for those who need recovery from addiction, homelessness, and family support. They welcome volunteers and mission teams all year.
