Where does the money go?
The Eliza Broadus Offering provides funding for a variety of Kentucky Baptist ministries. Language missions, church planting, disaster relief, collegiate outreach, church and community missions, evangelism, Kentucky Changers, missions opportunities for children, and more receive funding through the Eliza Broadus Offering. EBO is sponsored by Kentucky WMU in partnership with the Kentucky Baptist Convention.

The Eliza Broadus Offering is a state missions offering in support of Kentucky Baptist mission work. The offering is sponsored by Kentucky WMU in partnership with the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Ministries applying for an EBO grant must be affiliated with at least one of the following: (1) Kentucky Baptist Convention, (2) local Baptist association affiliated with the KBC or (3) a KBC affiliated church. The affiliation must be explained on the application. Ministries that are not affiliated to one of the above are not eligible for consideration.
Before you fill out an application, please note the following:
DEADLINE for submitting an EBO grant application is December 15. Your application must be postmarked by this date. Late applications will not be considered.
Before you fill out an application, please note the following:
- Only ministries and projects that meet the following criteria will be considered: Ministry/ evangelism in Kentucky with persons beyond the in-fellowship work of local churches (specifically seeking to reach those who are not currently members of any church). Priority will be given to funding requests for ministry expenses (excluding salaries and buildings) such as literature, Bibles, tracts, and other supplies for ministry/evangelism beyond the in-fellowship work of local churches.
- It is required to include the name of the sponsoring KBC Church that holds your membership and the Kentucky Baptist Association you are affiliated with. You will also need to provide and answer to whether your sponsoring church gives to the Cooperative Program and to the Eliza Broadus Offering. This information can be found with your church's financial secretary/committee.
- An ENDORSEMENT IS REQUIRED by either the Associational Missions Strategist/Moderator OR the Associational WMU Director in which the ministry resides.
- Returning applicants must fill out an Accountability Form and submit with subsequent request. Please use current/updated application below. Only the most updated version of the application will be accepted.

Each Kentucky Baptist Association is eligible to receive a $500 EBO Associational Grant. This money can be used in your association to promote missions or to help a new/on-going ministry. It also provides support for ministry/evangelism expenses such as Bibles, tracts and other supplies; for missions education; or for events which will promote training or support for ministry/evangelism.

- EBO Associational grants are distributed through an Accountability/ Grant Request Process. An accountability for must be completed for an association to receive subsequent allocations.
- If you desire to request additional funds (beyond this $500 grant) for your association, please complete a Special Ministries Allocation Request for each project (application found on other tab). If you are requesting this money for an ongoing event don't forget to fill out an Special Ministries Accountability Form.
