Changers Kids is a mini-mission trip for children in grades 3-6 and their leaders. Through mission projects, prayer walking, camping out on a church gym floor, and using a shower trailer, children will learn skills that will prepare them for future mission trips. SAVE THE DATE! This year, they will stay at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church in Campbellsville, KY. Kids will be engaged in worship, Bible study, games, and interest tracks at the church. They will use what they’ve learned as they go out into the Campbellsville community to do mission projects. Projects include activities such as helping at a performing at nursing facilities, preparing and/or serving meals to the needy, and yard work. Missionaries will share their experiences and work at mission sites alongside kids and their leaders. |
What is the cost?
The early bird rate for each overnight participant is $65. These rates are good until May 27. Rates increase $10 per person after May 27. The registration deadline is June 6. The cost includes meals, lodging, recreation, and a t-shirt. COVID-19: Kentucky WMU’s COVID-19 procedures will be in line with current CDC guidelines. If it becomes necessary to cancel Changers Kids due to COVID-19, you will receive a full refund.
Each camper and adult chaperone must bring a mask for use in close quarters. All participants or guardians will be required to complete and submit a COVID-19 Health Survey on the day of departure for camp. |
What are the responsibilities for church chaperones?
Chaperones must be 21 years of age or older; be a member of the sponsoring church; be a non-smoker; pass a background check by sponsoring church; and set a good example for children in speech, conduct, and dress. Chaperones are expected to supervise their church kids. This includes all daily activities as well as staying with children through the night. Church chaperones must provide on-site transportation for their children. One male church chaperone is needed for every 1-5 boys and one female church chaperone is needed for every 1-5 girls. |

Where will we stay?

Forms
Registration forms and fees are due two weeks prior to the start of the event. Registration fees are refundable when cancelled before two weeks prior to the event. Within two weeks prior to the event, fees are non-refundable but are transferable to an unregistered participant.
*Each church must complete an Acknowledgement and Assurance Form and send it to Kentucky WMU. This form assures Kentucky WMU that your church has conducted background checks on each chaperone.
