It is never too soon to get involved in missions. That’s why we offer a variety of ways to involve children in missions through Missions Discipleship. As boys are introduced to missional concepts, they learn they have an active part to play in God’s plan for their lives and for the world. They come to understand that God can us them now-even in their youth-to share His love with others and make a difference. Experiences gained through missions education lead to a lifelong commitment of service to God, His mission, and His church.
MISSIONS DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS for boysRoyal Ambassadors (RA) is a missions discipleship organization for boys in grades 1-6. Under the mentorship of RA leaders, boys participate in games, sports, special events and other hands-on activities that encourage spiritual growth. Through these positive relationships and interactions, RA members become a faith-based brotherhood.

MISSIONS DISCIPLESHIP EMPHASES
Boys will learn how to demonstrate the missions concepts of learning, praying, giving and doing missions. RAs cultivates an atmosphere of acceptance for boys and offers opportunities for parents to serve. This level of missions discipleship will help create an awareness of their role in the Great Commission and prompt a spirit of Gospel urgency. .
LEARN
Learning about missions involves boys in experiences that increase their awareness and knowledge of missions. Learning experiences help girls develop understanding, appreciations, attitudes, and skills for doing, telling, supporting, and praying for missions. Outcome: Boys are led to explore with growing understanding the nature, implications, and evidences of God's missionary purpose and to respond to that purpose in personal commitment and obedience. PRAY
Pray for missions helps boys understand that apart of our prayer life includes intercessory prayer for the advancement of the gospel. This type of praying is communication with God on behalf of missions work; the people involved in doing it; and the people who need to know and accept God's redeeming love. Outcome: Boys will be able to learn how to apply the Bible to their lives and learn how to pray and intercede for others. GIVE (SuPPORT)
To Give to/Support missions means to promote an interest in the cause of missions and those involved in missions in order to fulfill the mission of God. Boys support missions through emphasizing the need for individuals to become involved in mission service and encouraging those who God calls to mission service. Through this characteristic, boys show concern for others by supporting missionaries, missions partners, and missions work through their giving and encouragement. Outcome: Boys will support missions in practical ways through their church. Engage (Do & Tell)
Boys will learn that Engage in Missions is a combined approach to both "doing & telling". Doing redemptive, loving service for people of special need or circumstance in the name and spirit of Christ and sharing the gospel with them. Doing missions is also a response to social and moral issues. Telling about Jesus challenges boys to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with another person and giving that person an opportunity to confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Outcome: Boys will have practical (child-aged) opportunities to put their faith to action through practical missions projects and evangelism opportunities. |
What Leaders are saying...
"I think it is so important to be that male figure for so many boys that don't have it at home. If you have it (RA) they'll come. Be sincere. Love them. You don't have to be perfect. There are a lot of times I don't pronounce the words just right in the Bible or whatever and they boys don't care. They just know that you care, you love them, and are concerned; and that's enough."
