WorldCraftsSM develops sustainable, fair-trade businesses among impoverished people around the world. The vision is to offer an income with dignity and the hope of everlasting life to every person on earth.
Established in 1996, WorldCrafts began with just one artisan group, Thai Country Trim, in Bangkla, Thailand. Today WorldCrafts works with dozens of artisans groups to import and sell hundreds of fine, handcrafted items from more than 30 countries around the globe. Each artisan group is paired with gospel workers around the globe who teach crafting skills and Bible study. That’s WorldCrafts. Committed. Holistic. Fair trade. WorldCrafts is a Compassion Ministry of WMU®. Learn more... |
How can WorldCrafts benefit my church?
WorldCrafts is a catalyst for helping your church body learn about another facet of ministry work around the globe. As gospel workers connect with artisan groups, they provide opportunities for sustainable income while sharing the hope of Christ through Bible study. Introducing your church members to WorldCrafts, helps to shape their world view and highlights the transformative power of Christ through fair trade.
