Kentucky Horse Park
June 3, 2017
Girls in Action in grades 1-6 and their leaders* will experience the world of horses, missions, and how horses can be used in missions. Our missionary for the day will be Christie Schumacher of High Mountain Equine Outreach.
Please register with Kentucky WMU to receive the group admission rate: $2.00 per girl, $16 for each adult. Note: For every 10 girls, one adult is free!. Tickets include admission to the International Museum of the Horse, the Saddlebred Museum and equine presentations throughout the day. Pony rides can be purchased at $5.00 per ride at the Kentucky Horse Park.
We will meet at the Kentucky Horse Park Main Visitor Center at 8:45 am. The address is 4089 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky. Please park in the main visitor center parking lot. Cost for parking per car load is $5.00.
Please pack a picnic lunch and bring a water bottle. We will be eating lunch at Cane Run Station Baptist Church across the street from the Kentucky Horse Park. After lunch, we will return to the Kentucky Horse Park.
Our day is finished at 5:00 pm.
*One adult leader is required for every 7 girls. Kentucky WMU requires church chaperones for each of its children’s events. These chaperones must complete a background check conducted by their church. They must be 21 year of age or older and be a good role model for children. Each church must complete an Acknowledgement and Assurance Form and send it to Kentucky WMU. This form assures Kentucky WMU that your church has conducted background checks on each chaperone.
