Missions Extravaganza and Conferences

 

Eastern Kentucky Missions Extravaganza    (Friday, March 31, 11:15 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.)

Ministries to Visit Around the Church Building
New presentations start every 15 minutes - All ministries within a block around the church

·     Central Baptist Church Mission House – Church owned house for short-term housing for missionaries. See the house and learn about this ministry.

·     High Mountain Horsemanship Outreach – Meet missionary Christie Schumacher and her horse. Learn how this ministry works with at risk youth and others. Through Relational Horsemanship, HMEO helps people grow in relationship, leadership, and partnership as they experience the value and love that God has for them.

·     BREAK Bus – Get on the bus and experience what children learn through Bible Released Time activities.

·     Matthew Clothing Ministry provides clothing for anyone ages 5 and up. Learn how this ministry of Central Baptist Church is helping people in Corbin.

·     Manger Ministry provides resources for newborns, children up to the age of 4, and their families. It also serves as an outreach to any mother or expectant mother in the community.

·     Sort Items for Eastern Kentucky Ministries - Visit the Youth Building on 4th Street to help sort items brought to Annual Meeting. These will be divided between ministries in Eastern Kentucky.

Christians By Choice – Sewing Ministry – Make a pocket prayer quilt while you learn about Salvation Dolls and others ways you can creatively share the gospel. Robin Reeves

Cedaridge Ministries – Pack a backpack as you learn how it will be used at Christmas by Cedaridge Ministries which provides food, clothing, other necessities, and spiritual guidance to the poor and homeless in Williamsburg and Southeastern Kentucky. Keith Decker

Freedom Center – Experience a foot washing and how Freedom Center provides shoes for people in need as well as housewares, bedding, clothing. Learn how you can help with special ministry projects such as the Christmas “Empty Stocking” project, Easter Hope boxes, and others. George & Robin Lewis

Haven of Rest – Learn how this ministry provides lodging and meals to family members visiting inmates at the Big Sandy Federal Prison and about their ministries in the Inez community. Joyce Scroggs

Kentucky Sacks of Love – Pack a sack of love and learn how this ministry works with area schools to provide weekend food for eligible students, as well as shoes, clothing, school supplies, and hygiene items. Frank & Judy Caulder

By All Means…Follow Jesus in the Written Word! Authors Debbie Taylor and Jamie Walters will share their ministries of writing and storytelling. Debbie will share her “Hart ministry” through her scripture-filled historical novel, Hart of Roundstone, which demonstrates God’s love and forgiveness. Jamie will lead you to value yourself as you strive to overcome weariness in daily living with her book, A Christian Selfie.
