Woman's Missionary Union helps a church provide missions awareness and participation opportunities to involve all of its members and regular attendees, preschoolers through adults, in the mission of God. WMU assists a church by providing ongoing, age-appropriate missions groups for gender-specific and/or coed audiences. Also, WMU assists a church by providing intergenerational, family, and churchwide opportunities for missions involvement. Through WMU, people experience missions personally through hands-on missions and witnessing, develop awareness of missions, support missions work and missions personnel, and nurture lifestyles that reflect commitment and obedience as Christ followers.

Our Values/Motives
Kentucky WMU, our "six motives" is what distinguishes our work from other entities. WMU is biblically-rooted, missions-focused, church-based, world-aware, and denominationally-supportive. For Kentucky WMU, "Christ-centered values" means that our organization is Christ-like; has a Servant spirit and is Passion-driven. God's mission is OUR passion. We value and uphold the Statement of Faith, as written by our denominational body.
Our convention relationship
Kentucky WMU is an auxiliary agency to the Kentucky Baptist Convention and serves Kentucky Baptist churches. We are unashamedly Southern Baptist, and seek to partner with like-minded individuals. We work in partnership with national WMU and function as the Kentucky state office for WMU.
