Leadership Network

Kentucky WMU is launching a new Leadership Network in 2012. The Leadership Network will be a team of gifted volunteer leaders who take initiative and responsibility for visioning, planning, and implementing missions education and ministry involvement. The Network will include trained leaders and advocates who represent missions education and various missions and ministry opportunities.

The Leadership Network will be organized into three teams: Missions Education, Missions and Ministry, and an Advocates Team. We are looking for people with interest and skills such as age-level missions education, churchwide missions, multicultural ministry (Hispanic, Korean, Deaf, etc.), Project HELP, Campus (Collegiate), hands on missions, missions trips, ministries to missionaries, BNF, military, internationals, crisis pregnancy, prison/jail ministry, minister’s wives, MissionsFEST, Appalachia Regional Ministry (ARM), Mississippi River Ministry (MRM), Baptist Centers, Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC), and women’s ministry.
   
Each Team on the Leadership Network has a specific area of expertise and responsibility. Teams will meet at least once a year for updates and networking. Teams may be expanded or modified as needed. The size of each team will vary according to need. The Kentucky WMU staff will work with the Leadership Network to develop and implement events and other opportunities for missions involvement.


Qualifications to be considered for the team include: a Christian and a member of a Kentucky Baptist Convention church, experienced in the area of service on the Leadership Network, and a passionate advocate for mission.
